When CRA Disputes Escalate: From Audit to Tax Court
Earn up to 6 CPD Credits
About the Series
Taxpayer Law, the Ontario tax litigation boutique, is pleased to present this six-part webinar series on CRA disputes, designed to help practitioners understand how disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) develop, escalate, and resolve.
What often begins as a routine audit can become significantly more complex. This series examines key stages in the dispute process, including audits, objections, appeals, voluntary disclosures, GST/HST disputes, and Tax Court proceedings.
The program reflects recent developments in CRA audit activity, enforcement practices, and dispute resolution, and intends to help practitioners stay current in a changing environment. Each session focuses on a specific topic while contributing to a broader understanding of how contested files are handled in practice.
The sessions draw on direct experience acting in tax disputes and focus on practical application. Particular attention is given to where issues arise, how they escalate, and how decisions made at one stage can affect the options available later in the process.
